When a criminal record certificate must be provided
You only need to provide a criminal record certificate if you are applying for entry clearance (permission to enter the UK) as a Skilled Worker and you are being sponsored for a job in any of the occupation codes listed below:

The criminal record certificate must be issued by the relevant authority in any country in which, while aged 18 or over, you have been present for 12 months or more (whether continuously or in total) in the 10 years before the date of application.
If you cannot obtain a criminal record certificate when required to do so, the requirement may be waived, but be prepared to provide a satisfactory explanation as to why it is not reasonably practicable for you to obtain the certificate.
